How saving works
Plan Swiftly saves your changes automatically. There's no Save button for editing details.
- Text saves when you move to another field or press Enter, or after a short pause while you keep typing.
- Choices such as dropdowns and switches save as soon as you pick them.
- Deleting always asks you to confirm first.
- Sharing changes that would cut people off (turning off the public link or its password, or regenerating either) ask you to confirm first. So does opening all projects to everyone in your organisation.
This includes Project and Organisation Settings and the Planner card editor: there are no Save buttons. Close the card with Done when you're finished.
The save status
The status next to your project name (and at the top of any edit panel) tells you where things stand:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Unsaved changes | You've just typed something; it will save in a moment. |
| Saving… | Your changes are being sent. |
| Saved / All changes saved | Everything is stored. Hover to see when it last saved. |
| Offline — will save when reconnected | You've lost your connection. Keep working; your edits are sent once you're back online. Don't close the tab until then. |
| Couldn't save | Something went wrong. Select Retry, or check the highlighted field if a value wasn't accepted. |
If a particular item couldn't be saved, it's also marked with a red ! (on the diagram or in the list) until it saves. Hover over it to see why.
If you try to leave while a change couldn't be saved, or while you're offline with unsent changes, you'll be asked to confirm first.
When someone else makes a change
If someone else is working on the same project, a notice appears when they add, update or delete something, for example "Sam just added an activity". Several quick changes to the same item show as one notice. Refresh the page to see their changes.
The Responsibilities grid updates by itself when someone else changes who is responsible for an activity or process.
