Your organisation
Your organisation is your company or team in Plan Swiftly. It holds your projects, your members and your subscription. This page covers who's in it and what they can do. For who can see each project, see Sharing and guest links.
Organisation roles
Every member has one of three roles:
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything an Admin can, and can make other members Owners or change and remove existing Owners |
| Admin | Create projects, see and edit every project, manage members, change organisation settings, and manage billing |
| Member | Open the projects they've been added to, or every project if Open projects is on. What they can do in a project depends on their project role (see Sharing and guest links). |
You can't change your own role or remove yourself.
Managing members
Owners and Admins manage members from Manage Members, in the organisation menu (your organisation's name at the top).
- Invite member: enter an email address, choose a role and choose Send invitation. The person gets an email to join. Invitations waiting to be accepted are listed under Pending Invitations, where you can revoke them.
- Change role: give a member a different role.
- Remove member: take someone out of the organisation, after you confirm. They lose access to all of its projects straight away.
Each plan allows a set number of members. If you've reached it, you'll be asked to upgrade before you can invite anyone else (see Billing and plans).
When someone is removed
Their name stays on the work they did, such as their comments, uploads and exports, so the project's history still makes sense.
Their project roles are switched off. If they rejoin the organisation later, they don't get their projects back automatically. On each project's Team Members page, they're listed under "Previously removed", with Restore to give them their old role again.
Organisation settings
Settings, in the organisation menu, has Open projects, under Project Visibility. When it's on, every member can view every project in the organisation, read-only, without being added to it. When it's off, members only see the projects they're on. Changes save straight away, and turning it on asks you to confirm first.
On some plans every project is open to every member, whatever this setting.
More than one organisation
You can belong to several organisations, such as your own company and a client's. Switch between them from the organisation menu, which also has Create Organisation. Each organisation has its own projects, members, settings and subscription.
